Pietash (Pty) Ltd is a start-up Black owned company, located in Soweto, founded by three passionate previously disadvantaged Individuals (PDIs) for the purpose of creating the first food and beverage canning company owned by Blacks. Pietash (Pty) Ltd is also a company said to be located in a Black Township. The shareholders have identified a huge gap in the food and beverage canning manufacturing (Agro Processing Sector) affordable and healthy products targeting the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and SASSA grant beneficiaries via a Network of Wholesalers and Retailers who will in turn deal directly with the end Consumer. The Company has done extensive feasibility study coupled with market research which has confirmed the existence of a growing market for canned fruits, vegetables, grains and meats for the lower end of the market.
